I have been a lecturer at the University of Southern Brittany since 2020, and my research focuses on plastic pollution. In particular, I am working on two main areas of research: 1) the assessment of pollution by microplastics in the context of the land-sea continuum, and 2) the improvement of methodologies for assessing such pollution.
Conference presentation:
The OceanWise(2018-2022) project aimed to propose solutions to reduce pollution of the marine environment by polystyrene foams (EPS or XPS). As part of this, the IRDL was tasked with testing certain alternatives to polystyrene, but also with studying the reasons why we abandon our plastic waste in our environment or even studying the contamination of our food by polystyrene. This conference will be an opportunity to talk about these results, but also to go back over some of the basics about plastics.
