All the versions of this article: [English] [Español] [français]

David Tilus worked as a civil engineer for over 15 years until he decided to turn his life around in 2002, when he and two other founding members set up the Groupe d’Action Francophone pour l’Environnement (GAFE), a Haitian organization dedicated to local development and citizenship education. He now puts his expertise in local development engineering at the service of territorial dynamics and citizens’ movements for climate and democracy.

He is also International Commissioner of the Scouts d’Haïti and was Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Institut de la Francophonie pour le Développement Durable from 2020 to 2023.
